Dr. Mark Ramzy is a cardiothoracic intensivist and emergency medicine physician, with over 20 years of EMS experience. He currently practices both cardiac critical care and emergency medicine and is a certified emergent re-sternotomy course instructor for his cardiac surgery intensive care unit. Dr. Ramzy completed two simultaneous fellowships in critical care medicine and point-of-care ultrasonography at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Ramzy is passionate about medical education through summative and formative feedback workshops, presentation redesign, social media and utilizes his graphic design skills to convey lessons and knowledge through medical infographics. 

Dr. Ramzy is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of REBEL EM, a widely respected FOAMed blog and podcast focused on core content, critical appraisal of medical literature, and knowledge translation—bridging the gap between evidence and bedside care. REBEL EM reaches a global audience with over 2 million annual site visits and has reached more than 2.5 million podcast downloads

Dr. Ramzy enjoys teaching about team optimization and human behavior. He has coached multiple physicians over the years on how to improve work-life balance, find fulfillment in their careers and create meaningful personal and professional lives. He has advocated for numerous physicians when it comes to negotiating contracts, justifying administrative and academic time and dealing with interpersonal challenges in the workplace.

Diana Misdary Ramzy is a dynamic educator, systems thinker, and leadership coach who brings over 15 years of experience at the intersection of education, wellness, and institutional change. She co-founded Anvil and Swage Medical and Education Consulting to support hospitals, residency programs, and physician educators in creating sustainable, high-functioning teams and learning environments.

With advanced degrees in school leadership and secondary education, a Montessori teaching certification, and credentials in trauma-informed care and parent coaching, Diana is uniquely equipped to bring both structure and soul to faculty development and adult learning.

She has served as an academic affairs fellow at Maimonides Medical Center, education director at an innovative high school, and an instructional coach across urban and international settings. Her work consistently centers on psychological safety, professional growth, and systems-level sustainability.

Diana is also the founder of Rested and Regulated, a Christian family coaching practice that integrates biblical principles with brain science and trauma-informed care. She has helped countless clinicians, educators, and parents regain clarity, connect deeply, and lead with intention.
